Souvenirs from "the enemy" were very popular bring-backs for US servicemen and women. Third Reich, Italian, and Imperial Japanese items showed the people at home what the veterans had seen and were often prized as "spoils of war" from their time in service. These items are a grim reminder of the era's aggression and a remembrance of the causalities of war on both sides of the battlefields. The items shown on this page were brought back by US veterans; these are not intended to promote hatred or the ideals for which these countries stood.
