US Forces Austria

Similar to Germany, Austria was divided among the Allied Powers into zones of occupation through the Potsdam Agreement.  The US Forces Austria (USFA) command was created in 1945 to patrol and rehabilitate the US Zone of newly-liberated Austria.  With major concentrations in Salzburg and Linz, US troops were also stationed in the divided city of Vienna alongside soldiers of the French, British, and Soviet forces.
USFA's mission ended in 1955.
